AFC celebrates Mother's Day

Beautiful Mothers recieved flowers from generous volunteers of AFC namely, Lito Ibusca, Dennis Monta, Billy Vela, Richard Francisco and Elgin Roxas. They all donated 20,000won each to buy a roses for mothers.

1st year anniversary of Fr. Kennady in priesthood.

Last May 3, 2009, Sunday, AFC volunteers in coordination with Galilea Migrant Center gave tribute to Rev. Fr. John Kennady for his 1st year anniversary being a priest.


Fr. John Kennady was ordained last May 7, 2008 in India.

Fr. John Kennady was surprised in small tribute prepared by AFC.


Fr. John Kennady thanked all AFC volunteers, Galilea and the whole community for the the tribute gave to him. He thanked them with teary eyes and totally speechless.

"I will continue praying for this community", Fr. Kennady told the AFC.

He recieved a bouquette of flowers and polo from AFC while Galilea gave him cakes and a dinner.

Tiring Saturday Night


Ati-atihan dancers had their merienda after the dance rehearsal. They are preparing for the 60th bilateral relation celebration between Korea and Philippines. It will be held at Seoul Plaza on May 30 and 31, 2009.


Aside from Ansan Filipino Community other FilCom are also invited to be part of the said celebration.

After the dance rehearsal of ati-atihan, AFC dancers had their dance practice for the incoming Dance Contest to be held this coming May 17, 2009. AFC dancers passed the elimination round for the said dance contest last March 26, 2009. They performed a dance medley of "aray" and "gumaquena" in front of hundreds audience including the staff from Ansan City Hall and Ansan Migrant Center.





Aside from AFC dancers, 2 more Filipino dance group passed the elimination. They are the all women group from Incheon and the Pearl of the Orient.

Fr. Jun Perez joined the AFC dancers in their dance rehearsal and served as a mentor and critics to improved their dance piece.

Roger, Get Well Soon!!!


Roger Barrido, Service Committee Chairman of AFC had an operation on his appendicitis last April 29, 2009, wednesday at Dong Ansan Hospital.
